Let's talk about the famous tennis players out there

What makes this tennis game so much fun is obviously the tennis players. With the abundance of great personalities out there in pro tennis, famous players have achieved this status precisely because the tennis game is such an individual one.

For some people, it’s the grittiness of Rafael Nadal, for others, the hot-headedness of Marat Safin. For me, however, it’s the fluid gracefulness of Roger Federer that makes him my favorite part of men's tennis. He never looks like he’s exerting himself, and even though he is fitter than most in the tennis game, it never strikes you when watching him because it all seems to come too easy.

Women’s tennis has become a highlight of the sports world in the past decade, thanks to such personalities as Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Amelie Mauresmo and Anna Kournikova. In the women’s tennis game, there have really been many changes in the past few years, such as men and women now receiving equivalent prize money at all the grand slams, including Wimbledon. Also, some of the tournaments on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Tour have introduced on-court tennis coaching, where the coach of the player is allowed to sit with the player during change-overs.

It’s always fascinating to see the rise of men’s tennis and women's tennis and to do this I like to frequent the ATP Tennis site. They have the results of all the pro's, whether they are seasoned veterans or barely-on-the-scene. They also have frequently updated world rankings and profiles of all the famous players, both ancient and current.
